Job Description

The Staffing/Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for auditing timesheets, reporting overtime, and ensuring that staffing needs are met in the most cost-effective manner for Jacksonville Sheriff's Office personnel at the Duval County Courthouse. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, as well as excellent administrative, phone, and interpersonal abilities.

Examples of Work

  • Responsible for scheduling personnel at the courthouse
  • Receive callouts from staff and adjust schedule accordingly
  • Works with the Clerk of Courts to schedule courtrooms as needed
  • Work with management to determine future needs based on PTO requests
  • Responsible for tracking time sheets for courthouse personnel
  • Responsible for auditing and maintaining records of leave documentation (Occupational Health, Leave of Absence, IOD, Bereavement leave, etc) to ensure compliance with leave policy approvals.
  • Responsible for the upload of payroll information into the Oracle system for bi-weekly payroll transactions.

Required Experience 

 

2+ years' experience coordinating staff and completing payroll
Strong communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Highly proficient in MS Excel
